Monday night, January 4th, 2010… TNA Impact, 7 o’clock to 10 o’clock! WWE Raw, 8 o’clock to 10:05ish! Bret “Hitman” Hart! The Immortal Hulk Hogan! Vince MacMahon! Eric Bischoff! Was it historic? Was it a competition? Was it the beginning of a new Monday Night War? Is the wrestling industry on the verge of a new boom that all of us who lived through the first Monday night war has been anxiously awaiting, even yearning for? With soothsayer accuracy the action speaks for itself… allow me to translate.

I know it’s a little last minute thanks to the holidays but this is the last week of build to the Monday Night Conflict so we can’t just skip it. Raw’s big push is simply to announce that wrestling legend, WWE Hall of Famer Bret “Hitman” Hart will appear as guest host on January 4th. Impact featured a 4 hour New Years Eve special, featuring a one night Knockouts tournament and the 3 “best matches” of 2009. Which show had a better lead in to the biggest wrestling night in the last 8 years? Let’s let the action speak for itself…

Every six months or so I drink too much diet soda and enter a state of mild delirium in which I think it might be a good idea to order a TNA payperview. After each of which I firmly declare that I am done paying for what TNA passes off as wrestling! However this weekend, being of sound mind and body I turned on the TV Sunday night and ordered Final Resolution. This time its going to be different I said! This time I wont be wasting my money, I’ve been watching TNA Impact and everything seems to be coming together nicely! So it is with of Diet Pepsi Max under my arm I sit down to write this review.
